The total land area of the Olympic Sports Center is about 352 acres, with a construction area of 142440 square meters and a total investment of about 1.3 billion yuan. The project started in May 2010 and was completed by the end of 2013. It is a key construction project in Zhejiang Province in 2010 and the main venue for the 15th (2014) Provincial Games in our province. The center takes the characteristics of Shaoxing water town as the starting point, and the streamlined venue lines reflect the movement and power of sports. Through the natural transition of buildings, bridges, green spaces, riverbanks, and wetlands, it forms the overall landscape of the wetland style in the Jinghu area. The venue design adopts a main structure combining concrete floor slabs and super large steel structure system, accompanied by curved curtain wall glass and streamlined metal roof, which not only meets the spatial requirements of sports, but also reflects the beauty of sports. The roof of the sports hall adopts a new technology of super large steel structure prestressed tensioning, saving about 30% of steel; At the same time, the center took the lead in using geothermal systems in Shaoxing, which enabled the use of ground source heat pump technology to achieve air conditioning, cooling, and heating of the venue after its completion. This system was also used to heat and insulate the water used in the swimming pool, saving 40% energy compared to traditional systems; The use of light pipes in the project to introduce natural light for the sports arena to provide lighting and illumination, and the construction of a rainwater harvesting system to provide irrigation for outdoor greening fully reflect the characteristics of green buildings in the venue. As a result, the design of the sports club exhibition hall has become the first green and energy-saving two star design in the city!
